WAA Rookie League
In the Rookie league, a modified set of Minor league rules are used. For the first half of the season, the league uses pitching machines. During the second half, players pitch a part of the game. Batters do not use a tee, and when machines are used, can strikeout or hit. When players pitch, batters can strikeout, walk, etc. Rules are in place to rotate players defensively and to encourage more kids to try pitching. R.I.F. (Reduced Injury Factor) #10 baseballs are used.
